The Grade 4 class will be going on a field trip this year, as an Agriculture Farm Tour. This is an opportunity to learn about agriculture in our province, the food we eat, and the variety of other ways the industry affects our daily lives. This tour is sponsored by the County of Clearwater and every Grade 4 class in the South part of the Division will be attending.
When: Thursday, May 8th ---Depart from Charlotte Small School 8:40 a.m. -Return time- 3:15 p.m.
Where: Horse arena, Sheep farm, Beef Farm and Dairy farm
Other information:
We will be visiting 4 local farms.
Students should wear warm play clothes and comfortable shoes. Please dress for the weather, as much of this tour will be outdoors.
Parent volunteers welcome- (*The Organizers discourage parents from following the bus- due to safety concerns and limited parking at the farm locations).
There is possible allergens on the Ag. Farm Tour Dust, hay, straw, animal hair-please inform us of any concerns
Students need to bring a bag lunch (there will be no access to a microwave)
Each farm will have "Out-houses" and hand-washing stations.
